Carlos Vives to be Creative Director of 2022 Latin Grammys’ NFT & Capsule collection

The 2022 Latin GRAMMYs’ visual identity will be resplendent and one can even acquire its piece in the digital ether. 

The Latin Recording Academy as well as OneOf disclosed that Carlos Vives, the Latin GRAMMY and GRAMMY-winning artist, will serve as the Creative Director for this year’s Latin GRAMMYs’ NFT Collection.

In his entire career, Vives owns 15 Latin GRAMMY wins. This year too he has been nominated in five categories, including Album Of The Year and Record Of The Year.

The NFT collection is a part of a unique three-year collaboration between The Latin Academy and OneOf and has been designed to honor the Latin Music and skilled visual art creators behind it.

In a statement, Vives shared his excitement to get the chance of curating the visual art that’s set to be displayed in the 23rd Annual Latin Grammy Awards NFT Collection. 

He added that he can’t wait for his fans to indulge in the NFT drop and enjoy it besides the amazing work created by artists from across the globe to beautifully display Latin music as well as its communities.

Vives wants to educate fans of Latin Music and add a whole new wave of excitement to Web3. Jimena Buena Vida (Colombia), Monaris (Puerto Rico), J.N. Silva (Venezuela), Carlos Luna James (Mexico) and Maria Delgado (Nicaragua) are among NFT artists who are selected to take part in creating the collection. 

OneOf collaborated with the Recording Academy during the last fall to conduct its first NFT collection, celebrating the 2022 Grammys and the forthcoming 2023 and 2024 GRAMMYs. OneOf’s latest hosted collections are with The Notorious B.I.G., Armando “Pitbull” Pérez, Doja Cat and Whitney Houston along with collaborations that range from eBay and Warner Music Group to Sports Illustrated.
