Dreambound Orbital sends NFT projects to orbit the Earth

  • According to Infinity Eve, the 1977 Voyager Mission prompted her to launch NFTs into orbit.
  • On December 16, Magic Eden tweeted about the launch of NFTs to the moon.
  • Infinity Labs NFT owners can insert their names in the payload.

Crypto enthusiasts frequently discuss their favourite currency or token pushing “to the moon,” but NFT holdings have really been blasted into space. On December 15, the newest example, the Solana NFT initiative Infinity Labs, will see a collection of NFTs from several Web3 projects launched into space through the International Space Station.

Magic Eden and Infinity Labs tweeted about the NFTs early this morning, claiming they are releasing some wonderful art, digital artefacts, and narratives across the Earth and into the skies.

Infinity Eve, the company’s founder, says that the 1977 Voyager Mission, which featured Chuck Berry, Mozart, Bach, and Louis Armstrong, inspired her to launch NFTs into space. During the pandemic, she had the idea for Dreambound Orbital while in the hospital receiving treatment for a severe form of cancer.

In conclusion, Dreambound Orbital, a corporation that launches blockchain experiments into orbit, was formed. Eve claims that while investigating how to send NFTs into orbit, she wrote to various people in the space industry.

The payload includes artwork entitled “This is Solana,” which was formerly sold by marketplace Magic Eden and was made by completely anonymous artists TEJ and Ekko. It refers to a number of prominent projects on the site.

Owners of Infinity Labs NFTs can also include their names or the initials of a loved one in the payload. Despite the fact that Infinity Labs is a Solana NFT project, the digital payload travelling into space is made up of both Solana and Ethereum NFTs.

One of Dreambound’s key goals in sending the NFTs to the ISS is to beam the photos into outer space, similar to what the Voyager spacecraft did before it, and maybe someday enable a digital space economy and an orbiting NFT museum.

Some may believe that sending NFTs to the International Space Station is a ridiculous or pointless plan. In response to such criticism, Eve advised keeping an open mind since you never know where inspiration can strike.
