The fashion industry has been moving towards the metaverse, NFTs and web3. Gucci, Nike, Burberry and Balenciaga are some luxury brands that have already put their foot on the web3.

In a recent interview Elise Yoshida, the Digital Communications Director at Louboutin World, says, “I think we’re really at the beginning of a new world. She’s looking forward to what NFTs have to offer.”

In the interview with Vernon Ward in the Content Team at Binance, she also mentioned that she came across Blockchain and Crypto somewhere near 2015, when the general public was talking more about Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality but not much about Blockchain.

She added that various issues with the concept of Blockchain related to counterfeiting and trustability needed to be clarified. The interviewer further asked about the potential of Crypto and Blockchain in the fashion industry. Elise adds to this that web3 includes various aspects related to after-sales services and counterfeiting, which has the potential to go too far quite fast.

She added that it includes the NFTs, the decentralised metaverse, and the use of pure crypto in the payment systems. She also adds various fashion houses have made a lot of advancements. She further believes that one sector where a lot of improvements will take place is NFTs.

Regarding the consumers, she adds that although the managers and the highly-educated clients are talking about the crypto, NFTs and web3 world, the last consumer still needs to reach the level of understanding of this complicated world.
