Azarus and Evo have joined forces to enhance interactive esports streaming during the upcoming Evolution Championship Series (Evo) 2024, set to be one of the largest esports tournaments to date. Azarus, renowned for its innovative livestream enhancements, will oversee Evo’s official Twitch broadcasts throughout the event, aiming to enrich viewer engagement.

Scheduled from July 19-21 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Evo 2024 expects to draw over 60,000 attendees and attract hundreds of thousands of online viewers worldwide. The event will serve as a pinnacle for fighting game enthusiasts, showcasing top-tier players and thrilling competitions.

Additionally, Azarus plans to leverage its proprietary web3 overlay technology during Evo’s Twitch streams, enabling real-time viewer interaction and offering rewards to enhance viewer engagement. Alex Casssovici, Founder of Azarus, highlighted the partnership’s goal of creating a dynamic viewing experience that connects fans more closely with the tournament.

Beyond competitive gaming, Evo 2024 will feature panel discussions, exhibitions, and game reveals, including anticipated titles like Fatal Fury, City of the Wolves, and Hunter x Hunter Nen Impact. 

Special exhibitions include a Live Rivals React session featuring Justin Wong and IFC Yipes, along with developer panels from Capcom, Bandai Namco, Arc System Works, Cygames, and SNK. Riot Games will also offer a sneak peek of its upcoming release, 2XKO.

Azarus, recently acquired by Animoca Brands and supported by investors like Kleiner Perkins and Galaxy Digital, has made significant strides in enhancing live stream engagement through innovations like its “Overlay Game” for Rainbow Six, and Siege Twitch broadcasts.

Established in 2002 from local arcade tournaments dating back to 1996, Evo remains a cornerstone event in the fighting game community. Owned by RTS and Sony Interactive Entertainment, Evo continues to elevate the global stage for competitive gaming.
