StreamCoin, a prominent player in the Web3 space, has launched its new environmental initiative in partnership with One Tree Planted, supporting the organization’s efforts in global reforestation through NFTs.
Within this initiative, StreamCoin has created its first Green NFTs, special digital items created only for nonprofits. The first Green NFTs collection was minted on STRMNFT – the company’s own NFT marketplace. With royalties set at 0% and a price of approximately $10 per item, this collection is set to showcase how NFTs can be utilized for good causes.
StreamCoin aims with the Green NFTs to involve its users in global reforestation by providing a simpler and more transparent way of donation. When a user donates through the new collection, the Green NFT goes to their account to be proof of donation. Michael Ein Chaybeh, CEO of StreamCoin, remarked:
We aim with this initiative to show how NFTs can be used to make environmental and social change on a global scale. I believe that the Green NFTs we created in partnership with One Tree Planted will be a great leap toward expanding the utility of NFTs to help the environment.
Based in the U.S. state of Vermont, One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making a greener planet with its worldwide reforestation projects. The organization makes it simple for everyone to help the environment as it plants one tree for each $1 received.
