SIR MIX-A-LOT, popular rapper and music producer, has filed a Web3 trademark application on November 22 with plans to move into multimedia files validated by non-fungible tokens. The trademark was filed with the United States Patent & Trademark Office. The media files indicate video recordings, artwork, text and music associated with entertainment. 

After collaborating with The Sandbox in June for a film-based entertainment spot in the metaverse, Lionsgate has now filed a Web3 trademark application on November 21. The filing covers NFTs as well as other tokens; downloadable digital characters, skins and avatars; downloadable virtual products and digital tokens utilized with blockchain. 

Other services included in the trademark application are trading in crypto markets and easing transactions via digital tokens, digital art, digital collectibles, NFTs besides other application software and tokens to make, store, process, secure, track, transact and manage portfolio of NFTs, digital collectibles, digital art, digital tokens and several other application tokens. 

Coming to another trademark application, it has been filed by Mastercard on November 22 for Mastercard Crypto Secure. According to the trademark, the company will offer financial risk assessment solutions in crypto; offering software like a service for consistent crypto transaction tracking & analysis; business training for risk tracking in crypto transactions and offering software like a service to assess exposure to compliance, fraud as well as risk associated with crypto transactions. 

Jorn Lambert, Chief Digital Officer at Mastercard, In October, said that crypto is on the verge of turning into mainstream since the firm introduced Crypto Source, which is a program to allow financial institutions to provide both crypto trading services and abilities. 

Crypto Source offering goes well with Mastercard Crypto Secure to introduce extra security in the crypto space that also includes assisting card issuers in their consent with complicated regulations.
