Meta collaborates with Taiwan LGBT group to launch NFTs for pride

On 29 October 2022, CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s META is going to collaborate with Taiwan LGBT group and the crypto exchange to issue charity NFTs non-fungible tokens, in order to celebrate and support the Taiwan Pride. 

Furthermore, Taiwan Tongzhi Hotline Association and ACE Exchange will be issuing 304 NFTs dubbed with the name “Pride@NFTea” on this auspicious charity crypto event. “Pride@NFTea” will feature a vast collection of drawings of bubble tea, which is the most popular beverage in this colourful country of Taiwan.

The mint process for the “Pride@NFTea” project will begin on Saturday with their NFTs priced at 0.05 ETH (US$74.70) each. According to the page sources, all the profits earned from this “Pride@NFTea” project mint process will also be used for the development, operation, and expansion of the LGBT non-profit organization. So, this means that the project or collaboration is done only to support this Noble cause of Taiwan’s advocacy for the LGBT community in the country.

On 29 October, the Taiwan LGBT+ pride parade will be held in Taipei to celebrate its 20th edition. This event will be a spectacle to witness on the streets of Taiwan! As per the sources, the META team is looking forward to this with great excitement. 

Moreover, in May 2019, Taiwan legalized same-sex marriage, becoming the first country in Asia to do so.
