SPORTFIVE Agency, Animoca Brands & Be Media to launch ASEAN football NFTs

SNEAK PEEK

  • SPORTFIVE agency to launch digital collectibles collection for ASEAN football.
  • The collection comes in partnership with Animoca Brands & Be Media.
  • The NFTs will be built on the Polygon blockchain.

SPORTIVE will be backed by Animoca Brands‘ experience in blockchain technology and digital entertainment to expand football fans’ engagement with the competition into the worlds of Digital Collectibles and NFTs.

Onside Collection.com will introduce the very first digital collectibles. This partnership will improve fans’ engagement on game day and innovative digital experiences delivered through gaming and the broader Web3 ecosystem.

With this arrangement, SPORTFIVE is firmly establishing its presence in the Web3 market as part of its strategy for worldwide growth. It will also follow the agency’s previously disclosed international relationship with premier blockchain protocol Polygon, in which SPORTFIVE will serve as Polygon’s Global Agency of Record throughout Sports and Entertainment.

Through game day activations, like exclusive on-pitch access, connecting to post-game press conferences, gaming sites, and rewards inside the Animoca Brands ecosystem, Onside will grow to give rewards and real-life experiences, known as “utility.”

According to Malcolm Thorpe, Managing Director, South East Asia at SPORTFIVE: We are excited to join the Web3 community and usher in a fascinating new age of ASEAN sports and its ardent supporters.

In this partnership, SPORTFIVE Agency will team up with Be Media and Animoca Brands to create and sell NFT collectibles mostly on the Polygon blockchain, relying on championship assets and game highlights from the well-known regional tournament.

This will be the first ever in Southeast Asian sports. It will bring the reputable ASEAN football competition to life in the Web3 space.

On 3 November 2022, in Singapore, the premiere of the new NFT project, Upfield, will be featured at AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022, held from 20 Dec 2022 to 16 January 2023.
