  • A fintech company has published the results of a study on US-based gamers, sharing their exposure and thoughts about cryptocurrencies.
  • According to the study, while playing games, respondents are five times more interested in winning Bitcoin than NFTs.
  • In another survey, it was found that P2E games are well-received and 40% gamers look forward to playing and earning in the metaverse.

Certain gamers do not support NFT integration for games; however, there are other gamers who are interested in playing, provided they are offered opportunities to earn crypto.

ZEBEDEE, a fintech company, has shared the results of a study conducted to survey US-based gamers and calculate how much they are exposed to crypto as well as find out their opinion about blockchain gaming.

According to the study, 67% of respondents showed interest in playing free games if crypto rewards are provided. 45% of participants believe that trading items and game characters with other gamers has its own perks. 23% of participants, it might lead to a negative impact and the remaining 32% didn’t share any comments.

Other findings include that 27% of respondents like to earn Bitcoin in games and just 5% like to earn non-fungible tokens. As a result, it is clear that most gamers are interested in BTC in P2E or play-to-earn games.

Chief strategy officer of ZEBEDEE, Ben Cousens, shared that the survey’s one major highlight was that majority of the gamers have a neutral or positive view in terms of crypto rewards. He also mentioned that the likeness towards Bitcoin was quite high.

Cousens said:

Despite the bulk of industry attention being focused on NFTs, we found that Bitcoin stands out as the most popular decentralized asset amongst gamers when compared against other cryptocurrencies, including NFTs.

Among the respondents who have cryptocurrencies, 55% don’t have cryptocurrencies. The remaining ones have either Dogecoin, Bitcoin, or Ether.

According to another survey that was published on July 15, one among the three gamers is inclined towards utilizing crypto in the metaverse. The survey also found that P2E gaming is well-accepted, as 40% gamers are interested in playing and earning in the metaverse.
