Artist and actor Dimitri “Vegas” Thivaios’ Dream Big Productions announced today a partnership with The Sandbox, a leading decentralized gaming virtual world and a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, to bring an authentic Alien Samurai Dino Warriors arcade experience to The Sandbox. Set in its own LAND in The Sandbox, the “DinoVerse” experience will pay tribute to classic beat ’em up arcade games with a voxel-style makeover.
The DinoVerse in The Sandbox will feature voxel versions of Alien Samurai Dino Warriors heroes and villains. The characters will go toe-to-toe in an exciting gaming experience, including a plethora of powerful weapons and assets players can use to customize their equipment. In addition to playing together, players will be able to meet and chat in the DinoVerse LAND using their avatar characters.
Alien Samurai Dino Warriors is an upcoming graphic novel series created by Dimitri Vegas with Erik Burnham – one of IDW Publishing’s most critically acclaimed writers on properties like Ghostbusters, Back To The Future, Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and many more. Also joining the iconic development team for the series is acclaimed producer David Uslan and his renowned father Michael Uslan, the originator of the Batman film franchises, from 1989’s Batman to Chris Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, Zach Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, to the Oscar-winning The Joker and The Batman film.
Part virtual real estate, part amusement park, The Sandbox fully embraces the idea of the metaverse as a continuous shared digital space where worlds and heroes collide to make magic. The inclusion of Dino Warriors in this ecosystem brings even more diversity and possibilities for The Sandbox users to experience their favorite universes and interact with each other.
