The Sandbox collabs with media company OneFootball to launch AFA Village


  • As the FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar is underway, OneFootball has announced a partnership with The SandBox.
  • The Collab will provide fans with a chance to explore in detail the Argentinian Football team in the metaverse.
  • One will enjoy the pool prize of 50,000 $SAND, which will be distributed equally to all eligible participants.

In between the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar, football media company OneFootball is collaborating with The Sandbox to give football fans a chance to learn more about the Argentinian football team in the metaverse.

The announcement was made on The Sandbox’s official Twitter account, and sharing it with football supporters and Argentinian football fans. The AFA Village event, which was started by OneFootball will be going from November 29 to December 27. This event will mark its debut in the metaverse. 

During this unique event, which will be held from December 6 to December 26, users can enjoy a 50,000 $SAND prize pool in the event, but this prize pool will be distributed equally to all qualified participants.

Interested one can participate in the event with few formalities. Initially, start by completing all in-game quests from the One Football experience, and candidates must also approve their identity on The SandBox website. One week after the end of the event, the rewards earned will be given. 

All the fans can support their team and get their NFTs from the AFA Village Collections. The NFTs collection will have duplicate trophies, retro Argentina shirts, a special pair of cosmic football boots, and many more.

Back in the month of November, Animoca Brands announced that they had entered a partnership with Cool Cats NFT and OneFootball Labs for Cool Cats FC NFTs.
