  • Timex is prepared to offer hand-made one-of-one timepieces alongwith digital NFT twins.
  • Timex previously partnered with Fortnight for metaverse beginnings.
  • The timepiece’s NFT twin will be made alive via DAZ 3D, the association partner.

Timex is prepared to launch dynamic real and digital offerings in collaboration with the BAYC community.

The collection has one-of-one timepieces along with corresponding digital twin non-fungible tokens that will be available for community members of both Mutant Ape Yacht Club and Bored Ape Yacht Club

The exclusive offering is under production in association with Ape owners such as BaronVonHustle, CryptoVonDoom, Zeneca, Josh Ong, LOGIK and The Miami Ape.

Every one-of-one physical is based on the legendary Timex Waterbury Classic and will be hand-assembled along with a watch face that will display the Mutant non-fungible token or holders Ape.

The watches to be developed will be unique just like holders, thanks to the availability of 30,000 Apes and 17 different attributes that can be customized. Etching, casing, strap, etc. are among elements that can be customized.

The minting of the offering will be limited. There will be 500 timepieces and non-fungible tokens twins at a price of 2 ETH per piece.

SVP of Global Marketing and Creative Services Timex Group, Shari Fabiani, said that Timex is stepping into Web3 upon prioritizing community and creativity. Fabiani added pushing and redefining the limits of real, virtual and phygital products through collaboration with the BAYC community.

The offering can be minted from today, i.e. December 2, at an exclusively invite-only based launch party. Among the guests will be the majority of the Ape partners and Chief Executive Creative Director of Timex, Giorgio Galli.

MAYC and BAYC owners can mint a “Timepiece Forge Pass” token on December 4.  Until December 31 or until it mints out, the token will be available. The pass acts like a token to acquire the physical by besides acting as an authenticity certificate.

Owners can visit timex.daz3d.com from mid-December and customize their digital and one-of-one physical timepiece. The production has been planned for the upcoming year’s second quarter.

Josh Ong, the long-term Ape owner, said that right from customizing the digital collectible to flexing at Ape Fest and unboxing the physical watch, the timepieces will impress owners of Ape and excite them about the upcoming surprises.

Such community collaborations remind of the possibility with several IP through the NFT realm as well as that collectibles are more than static jpegs.
