Meta recently announced that instagram is in the works of allowing selling NFTs with polygons on its platform. Meta has recognized the need of entering the crypto world and inculcating the same through its platforms, they have now allowed various partnerships with polygon NFT systems.

Moreover amidst the same, Vinnie Hager via twitter on 21st November, 2022, announces its first digital collectible partnership with Instagram.
The name of the digital collectible is ‘Lollygagging’ which is a limited edition of 25 unique NFT designs, designed by Vinnie Hager. Each costing $249.99 each. The collection is minted through Polygon and can be traded around multiple marketplaces.
The artist via Twitter also expresses his gratitude towards the opportunity provided to the artists. Moreover, he also praises this step of Meta and Instagram to inculcate NFT based art on its platform making NFT available to a larger audience in general.
To buy the NFT, users have to connect their digital wallets via mobile or desktop to their instagram account. It is a one time authentication where the platform would securely maintain the records without any public surfacing of wallet addresses.
The collection is available for everyone to witness on Vinnie Hager’s instagram feed from 21 November,2022, 2pm EST.
Further, this is an exciting chapter of testing the NFT based trading system in the instagram universe. There are other artists as well who will come up with their own collectibles.
