A few days back, according to an update by HTC, the phone company promised to launch Viverse – First Metaverse Smartphone on June 28. Keeping its promise, it has finally unveiled the metaverse phone, HTC Desire 22 Pro, the successor to the Desire 21 Pro.
Being a metaverse phone, it supports HTC’s Vive Flow VR headset. Also, it comes with a free NFT and has access to a digital wallet for managing cryptocurrencies. Moving on, some of its specifications have been upgraded from the predecessor, such as a higher refresh rate screen, a better main camera sensor, and the latest Android 12 OS.

Since HTC Desire 22 Pro supports the HTC Viverse ecosystem, it also supports the newly launched Vive Flow VR headset by HTC. Furthermore, it has its own Viverse wallet that helps to manage NFTs and cryptocurrencies directly from the smartphone. Buyers of the phone will receive a free NFT, which could be the main selling point of the device.
Besides these features, it is a regular phone and has a 6.6-inch punch-hole display with a 120Hz refresh rate as well as full-HD+ resolution.
For picture-perfect selfies, it has a 32MP camera. The rear side has a triple camera system.
Other specifications include a 64MP main lens, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. Making the device powerful is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 octa-core SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Though it has a 4,520mAh cell, it supports wireless and reverses wireless charging technology. Last but not least, the phone comes with IP67 water and dust resistance rating and boots on Android 12 OS.
