  • OMA3 is standardizing open collaboration for metaverses.

According to The Sandbox co-founder Sebastien Borget and Dacoco CEO Sarojini McKenna since the launch of OMA3, around fifty members have undergone registration for the organisation.

The Sandbox co-founder Sebastien Borget shared updates on the Alpha Season metaverse experience.

At Web Summit in Lisbon, Portugal, both Borget and Dacoco spoke at length about the new consortium of Web3 firms that are focusing on protecting the interoperability of the Metaverse.

On 1 November, when the OMA3 was inaugurated, all the core founding members such as Sandbox, Decentraland, Unstoppable Domains, Dapper Labs, Animoca Brands, and Voxels, among many others were already on board with the alliance.

OMA3 Ecosystem Working Group Chairman McKenna stated that their company is standardizing open collaboration for metaverses to ensure that the users remain the core of the development of their applications and overall platform in order to have controlling stakes on their identity, accounts and digital assets.

McKenna also added that the OMA3 is going to develop stable technical standards, also avail open source code, authorise documentation on best practices, and ecosystem liaison to further push the cause ahead.

Any organization or firm in the Web3 space is most likely to be allowed to become a core member or an integral part of the whole collective Metaverse process, and it is anticipated to further expand to all individuals and DAOs in the near future.
