  • Platzi and BNB Chain, a blockchain network created by cryptocurrency exchange Binance, will make a Web3 development course available for Latin America.
  • By the end of the year, 30,000 students should be able to take the course.
  • This initiative intends to encourage Web3 education in the region as well as the wider implementation of blockchain technology.

A Web3 development course will be made available for Latin America through Platzi and BNB Chain, a blockchain network developed by cryptocurrency exchange Binance.

The course hopes to be available to 30,000 students by the end of the year. This training focuses on developing developers’ skills, according to Gwendolyn Regina, investment director at BNB Chain.

According to him, this will be the main educational tool in Spanish for Web2 developers who want to use BNB Chain to construct Web3 applications.

This effort aims to promote broader adoption of blockchain technology and Web3 education in the area. The largest barriers to entering the industry are frequently those linked to education, accessibility, and hazy local government regulations.

Even among those who have already purchased cryptocurrency, the understanding of how the technology operates is frequently misunderstood. In a Motley Fool study, nearly 10% of those who own cryptocurrencies said they don’t understand how it works.

Education is essential as a result. It is especially more important in regions like Latin America where cryptocurrencies have the potential to empower the local populace outside of messy, conventional banking institutions.

El Salvador, the first nation to accept Bitcoin as legal cash, is making an effort to inform the people about cryptocurrencies. The nation launched a grassroots certificate program called Mi Primer Bitcoin, or “My First Bitcoin,” to raise young people’s crypto knowledge.

A small number of scholarships for the new online course will be offered to attendees of the BNB Chain Developer Camp in September in Bogota, Colombia, to promote enrollment in the new course.

Latin America is growing in significance as a hub for Web3 technology adoption and innovation. Binance and Mastercard launched prepaid cryptocurrency cards in Argentina earlier this month.

Regina noted that to maximize construction potential, Latin America must balance the shopping experience. A sizable community is aware of cryptocurrency and uses it daily.
