Recently, one of the world’s biggest NFT events, ApeFest 2022, was held this year at New York City’s Pier 17 by South Street Seaport, from 20th- 23rd June. The event was one of the most awaited events to be held in NYC.

The Bored Ape Yacht Club team hosts the annual celebration ApeFest for owners of Bored Ape and Mutant Ape. In October 2021, the first ApeFest took place and was a smashing success.

The event included a yacht party, a mutant Halloween party, a costume contest, and an interactive gallery experience, to mention a few.

Bored Ape Yacht Club took the celebrations to their Twitter handle and thanked every one of the community, staff, vendors, performers, and especially their sponsors for the current year, Polygon.

To make the event a huge success and memorable, and shared their auspicious moments and photos from the event.

For this year’s ApeFest 2022, BAYC collaborated with TokenProof for ticketing and token-gating.

A token-gating solution called token proof enables you to securely demonstrate ownership of your tokens. By connecting the account to your mobile device while the physical wallet is still unconnected, token proof creates a valid credential for proof of account ownership.

This year’s event was kickstarted by the comedian Amy Schumer with a stand-up performance where she took the opportunity to make fun of BAYC members for being on the spectrum, and the absence of women in the audience, among the other topics.

Lately, American Rock Band LCD Soundsystem from Brooklyn, New York, formed in 2002 by James Murphy, set the stage on fire and performed for the BAYC community.

Digital artists like Olive Allen and TV host Jimmy Fallon also made a fated appearance in the event sponsored by Web3 platform Polygon and powered by BAYC and TokenProof.

It was also revealed by Bored Ape Yacht Club that they would be launching a live OpenSea auction of the so-called Mutant Motorcycle Curtis NFT, which is designed with Rolling Stone’s assistance.
