Coinbase says, Apple Us Demanding NFT gas fee Cut if 30℅

On Thursday, Coinbase said in a series of several tweets that Apple is putting a block on its latest update of the digital wallet on Apple users or IOS apps. This block will remain until a 30 per cent cut fee over NFT gas is taken or completely disables the ability to send them. The digital wallet will not be updated until the cut is taken.

In the tweets, Coinbase said that Apple is demanding this 30 per cent cut through a specific system in the app purchase, that is, Apple Store that is available on Apple devices. 

However, this is not only the case of Coinbase Wallet; Apple is asking for a cut from all the apps sold on the Apple Store. Even when the customers want to buy gaming items, like skin for Minecraft or more lives on candy crush, this cut of 3p per cent is taken.

Coinbase further states that the In-App Purchase does not support crypto payment, so there is no possible way to comply with the policy. They also said this policy of Apple would have a huge impact on the iPhone users who own NFTs. If they have an NFT wallet on their Apple device, they will face many difficulties transferring NFT
