Cristiano Ronaldo to launch NFT collections via Binance partnership

Football sensation and five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a special multi-year NFT partnership with Binance. Through the collaboration, Ronaldo will introduce soccer fans to the Web3 ecosystem via worldwide NFT campaigns.

The partnership will aid in establishing a fan-centric economy, offering an extraordinary opportunity for fans and Ronaldo’s community to own an iconic moment in sports history.

Binance shared the exciting collaboration on Twitter:

According to the agreement, Binance will create a series of NFT collections with the footballer and sell them on the Binance NFT platform. As far as the first collection is there, it will come out later this year.

CEO and founder of Binance, Changpeng Zhao, applauded Ronaldo’s achievements in soccer and mentioned that he has risen above the sport in a way that he can become an icon in various industries.

Continuing his praises, Zhao said:

He has amassed one of the world’s most dedicated fanbases through his authenticity, talent, and charity work.

Zhao also said they are excited about providing fans of Ronaldo opportunities to connect with the star. Ronaldo, too, said that the NFT drops would be exciting, and fans would have a joyful time.

 He also explained: 

My relationship with the fans is very important to me, so the idea of bringing unprecedented experiences and access through this NFT platform is something that I wanted to be a part of.

Back in March, Ronaldo was awarded crypto tokens for his sports achievements. He was given JUV tokens, the official fan token of Juventus F.C., for every senior career goal he scored.
