On Sunday night at the MTV Video Music Awards 2022, American rappers Eminem and Snoop Dogg bought their NFT avatars to life initially on national television (VMA). Both the rappers collaborated on their single ‘From the D 2 the LBC,’ and they made a rocking performance live on stage.
The beginning of the music video was done with their NFT avatars from the Bored Ape Yacht Club, and the video also showcased the life inside the Yuga Labs’ upcoming game Otherside.
Previously in a new music video that was released in June, Eminem and Snoop Dogg starred as the Bored Apes. The video had 2D animations of their BAYC NFTs.
The audience went grooved for their single, and both of them, Eminem and Snoop Dogg, looked crisp and well groomed in their NFT avatars. Behind vibrant backdrops, the avatars were displayed, bringing the performance to life.
A few glimpses of the Otherside metaverse were also flaunted in the video, which also had a few references to the upcoming title.
As the music video moved further, Eminem and Snoop Dogg enchanted the audience with their amazing song.
In recent times in the NFT and metaverse world, rappers have taken the lead. It is also claimed that rapper Snoop Dogg owns NFTs worth $17million, and now his collection is very highly valued. He also revealed that he’s the owner of the pseudonymous Twitter account Cozomo de’ Medici, which shares NFT creativity.
According to DappRadar, Eminem, on the other hand, is the owner of 166 NFTs from 32 different collections. Earlier this year, he also bought Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT worth $452,000. Also, the Slim Shady rapper had changed his new Twitter profile picture to the Ethereum-based ape.
