CryptoPunks NFT sold for a whopping $4.5 million

While experts were speculating and analyzing the bearish NFT market, a recent million-dollar NFT sale took everyone by surprise.

CryptoPunks NFT #2924 was sold for nearly $4.5 million on 29th September 2022. With a sale price of 3300 ETH, it has become the all-time fourth largest CryptoPunk sale.

A popular NFT collector, seedphrase bought the aforementioned CryptoPunk NFT. According to the data, CryptoPunk NFT #2924 was previously sold in November 2020 for 150 ETH which amounted to just $71,400 at the time of the sale.

As per Rarity.tools the CryptoPunks NFT #2924 is the 38th rarest NFT in the collection of 10,000 NFTs.

CryptoPunks is the world’s most expensive and popular NFT collection. With an all-time sales volume of 996,819.49 ETH and an estimated market cap of 774037 ETH, CryptoPunks tops the list of the wolrd’s largest NFT collections.

Launched by Larva Labs in 2017, the IP rights of CryptoPunks were sold to Yuga Labs in 2022. It is a collection of 10,000 computer-generated pixel art each one of which is rare with unique attributes.

CryptoPunks is one of the prominent early NFT projects that pushed forward the NFT craze.
