RTFKT, a digital products NFT firm that was acquired by Nike in December 2021, was co-founded by Steven Vasilev. According to RTFKT and its founders, the business is “executing on Nike’s strategy for 2050.” 

In April 2022, Nike released 20,000 digital sneakers called Nike Dunk Genesis CRYPTOKICKS as part of the debut of its first collection for the metaverse, with the assistance of Vasilev and his team at RTFKT. These sneakers’ special editions have sold for more than $130,000 in some cases.

RTFKT, a 2020 startup, leverages cutting-edge technologies like augmented reality to make one-of-a-kind, highly collectible 3D objects. NFT wearables, which have grown in popularity in the field of digital collectibles, are what initially brought RTFKT to the public’s attention in 2021. One of the most popular NFT brands to date is a result of the company’s inventive use of technology and aesthetic vision.
