The free virtual reality online video game Horizon Worlds will now be available in France and Spain for players who are 18 years old and older, Meta announced on Tuesday.
Mark Zuckerberg, the founder, and CEO of Meta, expressed excitement about people exploring and creating immersive worlds and introducing this to more countries soon.
He revealed that they are always working on adding more features and tools that let people customize their own experiences, Meta wrote in a blog post. Also, they want everybody to have authority over their experience in Horizon Worlds.
The Conduct in VR Policy and the Horizon Worlds Prohibited Content Policy set forth what is and is not permitted on the platform, respectively.
Users have a few options if someone is bothering them. Users can access Safe Zone by tapping the shield icon on their wrist menu. In this window, users can block, mute, or report anyone acting in an unwelcome way while taking a break from their surroundings.
Tech giant Meta has also unveiled a new information rating system for “mature audiences” in an effort to make it more user-friendly.
Sexually suggestive material, worlds that are devoted to or have a primary emphasis on the promotion of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or age-restricted activities (including gambling), and intense or exorbitantly violent fictional material, such as blood and gore that might shock or disgust users are all permitted in Horizon but must be labeled as “Mature,” according to Meta.
The onboarding process that all new Horizon Worlds users go through includes instructions on how to use Safe Zone. Additionally, depending on the circumstances, anyone who violates our policies may have their account constrained, suspended, or disabled, the company stated.
