Pudgy Penguins has signed a Hollywood representation contract with William Morris Endeavor (WME), the popular Hollywood talent agency.

Based on the May 5 Twitter announcement, Pudgy Penguins is planning to take further its intellectual property across Television, film and gaming.

Longest-running talent agency, WME, was established in 1898 and grew its scope into crypto in 2021.

The NFT project has joined a list of major projects to have chosen Hollywood representation deals to grow both their brands and audiences. Other NFT-based prominent clients of WME include the Boss Beauties project, Dapper Labs co-founder Mack Flavelle, artist Claire Silver and pseudonymous NFT artist FEWOCiOUS.

According to CryptoSlam’s data, Pudgy Penguins is the twenty-first highest-selling NFT project. Ever since its release in July 2021, it has made sales worth $250.2 million on secondary markets.

Luca Netz of Netz Capital acquired the project last month for 750 ETH worth over $2.5 million during the purchase on April 3.

Pudgy Penguins is developing its Web3 ecosystem as well as its community based on the project and has made certain moves to take the IP out into the mainstream.

The project soft-launched physical Pudgy Penguin figurines in late March with certificates of authenticity and proof of ownership on Ethereum.

Meanwhile, in April 2022, WME signed Non-Fungible Heroes, an NFT project, to continue its growth into IP based on blockchain technology. The same year NFT firm and women-empowerment brand Boss Beauties also signed WME.
