- BitPay has officially revealed that holders will now be able to spend their cryptocurrencies on eCommerce giant eBay through the BitPay Card.
- The users would now be able to use their cryptocurrencies like any other debit or credit card at eBay’s checkout.
- The virtual BitPay card can now be used at millions of online merchants, provided that the online merchant accepts Mastercard.
In a recent announcement made in the blog post, holders can load their cryptocurrencies and spend them similar to cash on eBay via the BitPay card. Along with this, it was revealed that the virtual BitPay card could also be utilized at millions of online merchants, anywhere Mastercard is accepted.

BitPay, the leading cryptocurrency payments processor, currently extends support to the following cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Pax Dollar, Binance USD, Wrapped Bitcoin, Shiba Inu, Dogecoin, ApeCoin, XRP, Euro Coin, and Gemini Dollar.
Well, as of now, eBay does not accept crypto payments directly. However, it may plan to do so in the near future. The CEO of eBay, Jamie Iannone, stated back in the month of March, in the year 2022 interview, with The Street payments but contributed that the platform is persistently evaluating new forms of payments to accept.
World-class retailers that accept cryptocurrency payments directly involve AMC Theaters, Overstock.com, and Newegg. Well, as per the global poll conducted by Ripple, a total of 56% of consumers worldwide are inclined towards doing business with a retailer that accepts direct cryptocurrencies rather than others that don’t.
