Ticketmaster has partnered with blockchain development firm Dapper Labs to enable its event organizers to issue NFT tickets. These NFT tickets will be built and launched on the Flow blockchain platform.

According to the press release, the NFT tickets will be commemorative. Users can use it as a memento and proof of attendance at notable concerts.

However, these NFT tickets will not be valid for entry at live concerts or events. Users will still need to purchase event tickets with a Ticketmaster or Live Nation bar code.

Moreover, users will be able to transfer these NFT tickets to others via email or QR code through the Ticketmaster website that supports wallet addresses.

The event organizer company has selected the Flow blockchain as it is an energy-efficient network. The Flow network claims to mint NFTs by consuming less energy than that used up in Google searches and social media posts.

Flow in his Twitter post announced the news saying,

“Big news for live event fans! @Ticketmaster Event Organizers now can offer digital keepsakes, minted #onFlow!”

Ticketmaster has also partnered with Flow to mint and release 70,000 NFT tickets for Super Bowl LVI. As of now, over 5 million NFTs have been minted on the Flow blockchain network through Ticketmaster.
