- BitPay will now support ApeCoin and Euro Coin.
- The decision is the result of luxury merchant partners demanding the cryptocurrencies.
- ApeCoin is currently the 34th biggest cryptocurrency in the world.
BitPay will now support the ApeCoin cryptocurrency, the ERC-20 token of BAYC NFT. Earlier this month, Gucci became the first luxury brand to accept ApeCoin in collaboration with BitPay.
After Gucci, TAG Heuer allowed purchasing watches with ApeCoin.
Owners of APE are enabled to convert ApeCoin into physical money using the BitPay Card. Also, they can purchase gift cards for retailers and leading brands.
The company has also added Euro Coin, a euro-based ERC-20 stablecoin, in its list of supported cryptocurrencies. Now users of BitPay can purchase, save as well as swap both the currencies to use them in place of physical payment.
Euro Coin allows accessing euros with both rapid settlement and transaction fees.
