American rapper and two-time Grammy Award Winner, LL Cool J has filed a new trademark application for “DON’T CALL IT A COMEBACK. I’VE BEEN HERE FOR YEARS,” which is also the lyrics of his song, Mama Said Knock You Out.

The trademark was filed on May 3, 2022. With this trademark, Cool J aims to launch his footwear and clothing line using the particular part of the lyrics as slogan.

The rapper already owns a lifestyle brand, Rock The Bells, which happens to be the title of his hit song in 1986 and has platforms on the web as well as SiriusXM. Through the brand, he intends to preserve hip-hop and the original cultural cues that formed the language of fashion as well as street culture. Launched in 2018, apparels under the brand connect modern culture to classic & timeless hip-hop through association with legendary artists, brands and designers.
