  • The development of the Serena and his daughter Olympia-themed digital artwork was disclosed by Reddit’s co-founder.
  • The existing process, according to Chris Giliberti, co-founder and CEO of Zestworld, is burdensome for both artists and fans.
  • This application is available at a time when NFTs are still a means of making money from digital art for collectors and artists.

The latest feature of Zestworld, a creator-focused digital comics platform, was released today. It is a digital commission tool that enables normal fans to get in touch with their favorite artists and ask for custom works.

The creator of Seven Seven Six and co-founder of Reddit, Alexis Ohanian, was one of the first to put this to the test. He collaborated with award-winning comic artist Amanda Conner to produce an NFT depicting his superstar wife, Williams, and his child, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., as superheroes.

Corner said that he was terrified to death when he was asked to do this. I’m going to do this, but I truly hope she loves this, was all he could think. His initial feeling was thus fear.

Ohanian, who invested in Zestworld as well, desired a traditional superhero. He desired “extremely Kryptonian” items.

Conner and Ohanian’s collaboration might have been uncommon, but the new digital commission tool ought to make it simpler for fans to interact directly with artists.

Chris Giliberti, co-founder and CEO of Zestworld said that both artists and fans find the current procedure cumbersome. Digital commissions are frequently handled through an artist’s email or direct messages. At a gathering, you might get a chance to see an artist in person, but COVID and rising travel costs make things difficult.

This tool is accessible at a time when NFTs are still a way for artists and collectors to profit from digital artwork. The rise of the NFT also corresponds with an increase in subscriptions to digital comics, indicating not just a willingness but a preference to see art in a digital environment.

Though they might not be as well-known as actual, printed comics, digital comics have grown more popular than many people realize.
