DC releases their first ever DC Collectibles Comics as NFTs

The famous DC Comics takes new steps to establish the brand in the digital NFT world. The legendary studio has released the DC Collectible Comics NFT collection for its fans.

They officially announced the launch of DC Comic NFTs on Twitter on 25th October 2022.

DC has taken this empowering step to revolutionize the experience of its fans from traditional comic reading to a whole new DC NFT Universe.

According to the official website, the DC NFT Universe will have a unique digital collectible of DC characters, exclusive fan experiences, immersive storylines where users can create their own world, and a built-in marketplace to buy and sell DC NFTs.

DC Senior Vice President and General Manager Anne DePies said,

We want to take the physical, real world experience of collecting comics that so many of our readers have loved over the years and expand that into a new digital community. We want to build that community aspect that everyone has been so proud to be a part of, in our digital ecosystem to make comic collecting more available and accessible than ever before.

Superman #1 will be the first NFTs DC will be releasing for its collection. The DC3 will drop Superman #1 for $9.99 from 27th October. Next, they will drop popular titles such as Black Adam #1 and other popular comics.

The first NFT drop will include 3000 unique items which are categorized as Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary based on their rarity.

Since the boom in the NFT market, DC has taken several steps and collaborated with tech firms to expand its reach in the NFT realm. These DC NFTs will open new opportunities for DC fans to experience the historical comic collections, and collect unique and vintage DC digital collectibles.

Josh Hackbarth, Head of NFT Commercial Development for Warner Bros., said,

we’re constantly looking for ways to embrace this new technology and provide fans with a truly unique experience. We’re proud of the community that we have built so far and are excited to see it grow even further with the addition of DC3 to the Palm platform.

DC even allowed fans, readers, and NFT holders to have a say and vote on the creation of the new title, Batman: The Legacy Cowl #1 which will be released on 25th October 2022.
