The Smurfs’ Society develops an exclusive experience in the Animoca Brands’ The Sandbox metaverse


  • The realistic Web3 Smurfs project is coming to the Sandbox metaverse supported by Animoca Brands.
  • A select group of Smurfs Voxel holders and committed members of the Sandbox’s community will get 3000 special Smurf statuettes and ingredient NFTs from The Smurfs’ Society.
  • NFTs will offer early access to the Smurfs’ So ciety platform and a restricted scavenger hunt experience in the Sandbox to their holders.

The Smurfs’ Society is a Web3 initiative that gives its members the ability to start a new period in the history of the Smurfs based on innovation and decentralization through a gamified on-chain adventure. This extensive PFP collection has 12,500 NFTs with 250 distinctive Smurf characters, over 350 unique rarity qualities, and a few notable artist collaborations.

Their introduction into The Sandbox will further the gamification mechanics that NFT and blockchain technology enable by expanding The Smurfs’ universe in Web3 with immersive 3D experiences.

With a staggering 95% global recognition, the Smurfs are a strong and iconic brand. In the “Johan and Peewit” series, Pierre Culliford, also known by his pen name Peyo, invented the Smurfs as comic book characters. Due to their popularity, the little blue characters embarked on their own adventures in a special comic book series, which is still in production.
