LGU+, the South Korean telecom giant launches new NFT collection

South Korean Telecom giant LGU+ will launch a new series of NFTs next month. The new collection will feature Moono, which are octopus-like animated characters.

The company launched its first collection of Moono NFTs in May 2022. The collection was released on the Opensea platform and was a major hit in the NFT community. It was sold out in just 2 seconds.

The first NFT collection was built over the Katlyn blockchain, founded by Kakao. It included 200 tokens portraying Moono characters enjoying each day of the week with unique emotions.

Per Money Today and Chosun Ilbo, part of the LG business empire, will launch its second NFT collection. The second Moono NFT collection will have 1000 tokens. These NFTs will feature Moono as office workers and their emotions on each day of the week.

The company said it would hold 100 tokens for marketing purposes while the rest 900 will be sold. It also added that they will donate the KLAY tokens received to the charity.

The sales for the new NFT collection are scheduled for 5th September. The first sale will be held from 6 pm to 9 pm for 300 NFTs. The second sale will auction 600 NFTs, which will commence at 10 pm. Those who buy 5 tokens during the sale will receive an exclusive ticket to Legoland theme park.

LGU+ also added that it would expand its services in the NFT and crypto sectors in the future. The company is looking to collaborate with popular Kalytn blockchain NFT collections Shy Ghost Squad and Animal Punks. The partnership details will be shared soon in the coming days.

South Korean media outlets have been anticipating that LGU+ might be planning to launch its own token. LGU+ has been promoting and delivering exceptional crypto solutions for several years now.
