Emirates Welcomes NFTs & Metaverse to Attract New Customers

UAE’s largest airline and one of the two flag carriers, Emirates is eyeing revolutionary digital solutions like cryptocurrency, blockchain and metaverse to connect with its customers in even faster and convenient way.

To achieve the goal, the airline has already created a smart strategy. At the Arabian Travel Market, Emirates Chief Operating Officer Adel Ahmed Al-Redha told a media that new staff for both NFTs and metaverse will be hired to create applications that will monitor the needs of the customers.

In his statement, he also said that NFTs and metaverse are entirely different apps with different approaches. Additionally, he disclosed that Emirates has plans to deploy blockchain as well. The purpose behind adopting blockchain is tracing the records of aircraft.

Furthermore, he said:

With the metaverse, you will be able to transform your whole processes — whether it is in operation, training, sales on the website, or complete experience — into a metaverse type application, but more importantly making it interactive.

The airline is open to adopt bitcoin as a mode of payment service. Besides this, for trading, NFT collectibles will be added on the company’s websites.

Al-Redha also said that the air travel industry is back on tracks, something which is quite clear from the number of travelers.

Talking further, he flagged that their biggest challenge is the availability of resources across the network. However, Emirates is doing well and is in better position compared to other nations due to the accessibility.
