Emirates, the Elite Airline to Launch NFTs & Metaverse Experiences

Emirates, the renowned airline known for its innovative products and unparalleled customer services is riding on the wheels of launching NFTs and phenomenal experiences in the metaverse. Customers as well as employees both will have a gala time with the launch.

With initial projects being underway, the launch can be expected in the coming months.

In its further announcement, the airline disclosed its plan of repurposing Emirates Pavilion at the Expo 2020 site into an innovation centre. The action will give wings to future-based projects based on NFTs, metaverse and Web3 to enhance the digital economy and boost the brand experience.

Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates airline and Group, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said,

Dubai and the UAE are blazing the way in the digital economy, having a clear vision supported by practical policies and regulatory frameworks in areas such as virtual assets, artificial intelligence, and data protection.

For an immersive 3D, 360-degree view cabin interior experiences, the airlines pioneered virtual reality on emirates.com along with Emirates app; owing to which, customers can explore seats using the 3D seat map. Moreover, seats can be booked from within the 3D environment.

Embracing technologies to accelerate the business growth, improve the customer service and upgrade employees’ skills and experiences has always been the airline’s forte. Continuing with the same mindset, Emirates will unlock digital space opportunities through financial and resourcing investments.

Last year, the airline launched its personal VR app on the Oculus store to offer customers interactive cabin interior experiences onboard Emirates’ flagship A380 aircraft and Boeing 777-300ER Gamechanger aircraft.

During the Expo 2020 Dubai, at the Emirates Pavilion, the VR journey displaying future aircraft cabin interiors remained the most popular attraction.
