Blankos Block Party, an online website creation game powered by NFT, debuted on the Epic Games Store, representing the first Web3 title to be published on the famous PC gaming global market.

After introducing with an open beta in December 2020, Mythical Games’ title was previously only available from its own webpage, and the corporation said in June this year that Blankos had accumulated over one million total users to date.

The studio announced a plan in June to introduce the free-to-play headline to the Epic Games Store this year, but it was uncertain whether it would be the first game of its kind to hit the platform. Gala Games announced earlier that its Western-themed shooter Grit would be the platform’s first Web3 game, but it is still not available.

Blankos Block Party, inspired by designer/vinyl toy culture, allows users to play as well as collaborate in a colorful online world. In the game, NFTs are used to portray unique items such as avatar designs and accessories, which can be purchased and sold through the game’s marketplace.

Since its release, the game has collaborated with a number of brands as well as artist partners for limited-edition drops, such as Burberry, Atari, and musician Deadmau5. The game, however, does not require the possession of NFTs. An NFT is a blockchain token that is non-fungible and represents ownership of an item, such as personalities, weapons, or virtual land in video games.
