Italian luxury fashion brand Gucci recently teamed up with SuperRare, an exclusive crypto art marketplace, for the NFT art gallery. The aim is to open the Vault Art Space, a website that showcases the work of modern artists who use non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and other types of digital art.

A platform to support diversity and the successors of contemporary art, the new marketplace is devoted to handpicked NFTs.

The first exhibition, “The Next 100 Years of Gucci,” will feature a few NFTs that convert the codes of Gucci’s past and present into symbols for the company’s future.

Gucci and SuperRare took to their official Twitter handle to release the statement about the joint venture for the NFT art gallery and shared the news with their fans.

A total of 28 artists have been chosen for the NFT collection, including Alex Trochut, Alien Queen, Antoni Tudisco, Alanna Vanacore, Tyler Spangler, Drew Young, eBoy, Kris Andrew Small, Aliendope, VEXX, Slam J — and more.

Gucci and SuperRare will be hosting a total of Three Twitter Spaces for the opening of “The Next 100 Years of Gucci.” Artists will be talking with Rowynn Dumont, a philosopher, artist, curator, and writer, about creating and acquiring art in the current environment.

The discussions will be recorded and made available for future listening on the Gucci Podcast, which is accessible on all major podcast streaming platforms.

The Vault’s website will directly auction the exhibition in three drops that will take place between June 23rd to July 1st, July 7th to July 15th, and July 21st to July 29th, 2022. All the NFTs will be only sold in ETH.

Although this is the Vault Art Space’s first project, it is anticipated that it will become a venue that regularly exhibits NFTs and Web3 artwork.
