In a recent revelation, it has come to notice that one of the largest global manufacturers of electronic appliances, LG Electronics, is recruiting CTOs in order to spearhead the expanding Web3 business of the company.
In accordance with the revelations made on the official website of LG Electronics, they are recruiting Chief Technical Officers in two departments; one is business development, and the other is service design.
The CTO in business development will be facilitating the development of new businesses in the blockchain and Web3 sector and help in securing partnerships in the global Web3 sector.
On the other hand, the CTO in service design is expected to facilitate the designing and development of decentralized applications or dApps. Along with this, the latter will be conducting research on blockchain and Web3 services.
It should be noted that the persons applying for the positions are required to be equipped with knowledge of blockchain technology and NFT utility.
Back in the month of February, LG Electronics made an announcement regarding the development and sale of software based on blockchain, trading, and brokerage of crypto assets as its future business goals in an official disclosure.
In September, LG Electronics announced the launch of its first decentralized crypto wallet named “Wallypto,” which runs on the Hedera Hashgraph blockchain. Moreover, it should be noted that in the third quarter of 2022, LG Electronics recorded about 21.18 trillion Korean won in overall sales, which is equivalent to $15 billion.
