  • On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Louis Vuitton, LV was partnering with Yayoi Kusama, as per rumor.
  • The head of marketing management at LV clarifies the rumor of a partnership.
  • Third party is taking advantage of this rumor and making money on OpenSea.

Hadrien Huet, Head of Online Brand Protection at Louis Vuitton, stated that Louis Vuitton is not working on any new collection with Yayoi Kusama.

The rumor was that Louis Vuitton was celebrating its 200th anniversary by partnering with Yayoi Kusama to release 10,000 NFTs. It would be their second collaboration, but it’s absolutely false.

The debut of Louis Vuitton in the NFT area is part of a bigger trend among leading luxury companies to investigate the potential of this revolutionary platform. From Gucci to Prada, premium companies are releasing the possibilities of NFTs to achieve new populations and provide customers with distinctive, one-of-a-kind experiences.

There has also been a rumor that Louis Vuitton will allow people to purchase and convert NFTs into physical items on their anniversary.

Hadrein Huet also said that they have seen a false NFT collection on the OpenSea platform in the name of Louis Vuitton. The fraud party is taking advantage of this rumor.

Vuitton established the Louis Vuitton brand name in 1854 on Rue Neuve des Capucines in Paris, France. Louis Vuitton, one of the world’s most well-known premium brands, is associated with high-end leather products, iconic steamer trunks, unforgettable embroidered designer bags, magnificent watches and jewelry, and cutting-edge fashion.
