The largest NFT marketplace, OpenSea announced its support for the Optimism blockchain network on September 27, 2022. With this Optimism becomes the sixth blockchain network supported by OpenSea.

The popular NFT marketplace expressed its excitement in welcoming the community of Optimists onto its platform. Since OpenSea has announced its extended compatibility with the Optimist network, over 100 Optimist NFTs have been listed on the platform.

OpenSea especially highlighted some of the renowned Optimism NFT collections like Apetimism, Bored Town, MotorHeadz, and OptiChads in its announcement on Twitter.

Now OpenSea users can trade the most sought-after NFT collections like OP Orcas, Motorheadz, Poop Nation, and other popular Optimist NFTs.

Currently, OpenSea supports blockchain networks like Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, Klatyn, and Arbitrum along with the latest addition of Ethereum layer-2 scaling solution, Optimism.

The NFT marketplace also urged Optimism NFT creators to set up their creator fees. As per the OpenSea creator rules, creators can earn up to 10% on every sale of their created NFTs.

OpenSea also enthusiastically welcomed the Optimism community saying,

After working with the @optimismFND team and several projects on the chain, we can’t wait to meet the rest of the community!

Optimism has its own NFT marketplace, Quix which bears the maximum sales of Optimism NFTs before its inclusion on OpenSea. Top Optimism NFT collections that bagged huge trading volumes are Early Optimists, Apetimism, OptiChads, OptiPunks, and Optimism Quests.

Early Optimists NFT collection has made nearly $700,000 in its lifetime sale. This number is twice the sales generated by any other Optimism NFT project.
