Pepsi launches its first-ever NFT

Your plans to purchase an NFT are covered by Pepsi. Pepsi today announced the release of its first-ever non-fungible tokens (NFTs) collection for Indian consumers to strengthen its connection with the constantly changing and technologically adept SWAG generation.

The NFT collection for Pepsi Black has been specifically curated by the PepsiCo India Design Team in collaboration with illustrator Timea Balo and is based on the brand’s three pillars of innovation, self-expression, and evolution. Pepsi will release a set of 20 NFTs minted on the Polygon blockchain that is based on the company’s core values.

According to Saumya Rathor, category lead, Pepsi Cola, PepsiCo India, the “Pepsi Black Zero Sugar” NFT collection will personify and bring to life the world of Pepsi Black by leveraging passion points that appeal to today’s youth the most, such as fashion, gaming, music, social media, dance, creativity, and the environment.

To provide its users an accessible chance, these NFTs will be distributed through a fun “PepsiBlackeffect” competition on India’s social networking site, Moj.

The NFT line, which was motivated by the Pepsi Black brand concept, is a tribute to the younger generation that values self-expression and is deeply anchored in technology.

The NFT art collectibles are based on versions of the iconic Pepsi BlackTM “Zero” image and depict poignant themes including sustainability, rhythm, movement, creativity, art, the changing face of social media, and gamification. These themes are inspired by the brand’s passion points. With three variations of each theme and four variations inspired by music, the “Pepsi Black Zero Sugar” collection will be available on Open Sea, the first and biggest web3 store for NFTs and crypto collectibles in the world.

The winners of the #PepsiBlackeffect contest held on Moj, an in-house social media platform developed in India, would receive NFTs. To enter the contest and be eligible to win Pepsi Black’s first NFTs, consumers must use the unique Pepsi® Black lens and display their most outrageous SWAG identities.
