- Community Gaming collaborates with Ronin Network to host Axie Infinity World Championship.
- The platform will also serve as the leading esports gateway for both communities.
- A few of the new features are also revealed.
Blockchain-based gaming platform Community Gaming will now be the official tournament partner for the Axie Infinity World Championship. With the help of the team members and their months of hard work, the platform becomes the first app to interact with the Ronin Network.
Chris Gonsalves, the CEO of Community Gaming, made the announcement about the recent partnership with Axie Infinity and Ronin Network over his official Twitter handle.
Community Gaming Axie tournaments can now be organized directly on Ronin, with AXS or SLP prizes will get directly transferred to a connected Ronin Wallet.
The Product and Development teams have been developing features to accommodate the hundreds of concurrent gamers on the Road to AxieCon in order to get here.
They’ve also released several platform updates, enabling Community Gaming to serve as the leading esports gateway for community-run tournaments and collaborations with game creators (like Sky Mavis).
The platform has told about its new features that are mentioned below.
Bigger Tournaments
The platforms will allow event organizers to host bigger events on the Community Gaming platform. For example, in Single Elimination and Swiss Bracket tournament types, a maximum of 1,024 players can compete. Still, if the ‘Multiple Brackets’ feature is chosen, the maximum number of participants can reach 4,096 (four brackets of 1,024).
Organizers of tournaments with more than 64 participants may choose a certain number of players and seed them into the bracket(s) at random.
Improved Load Times
The team has checked the results in the “Participant” and “Brackets” sections of a tournament to reduce the loading burden on Mobile and Desktop sessions as the tournament sizes have expanded.
Ready Up
A brand-new Matchroom component to support in-game logistics. Players will see a new “I’m Ready to Play” interface as they proceed and are partnered with new opponents. With this ready check in place, a player will be instantly given a Match Loss if they do not arrive within the allotted 15 minutes.
