Snoop Dogg to Open “Bored Ape NFT-Themed” Restaurant

Rapper and NFT buff, Snoop Dogg has disclosed plans of opening an NFT-themed dessert restaurant, which will share the concept with Bored and Hungry NFT, the first eatery inspired by a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT.

Snoop Dogg and Food Fighters Universe, a Los Angeles-based firm have announced plans to build Dr. Bombay’s Sweet Exploration, an “immersive retail dessert experience.” Dr. Bombay is the name given by Snoop to his Bored Ape Yacht Club avatar.

Food Fighters Universe welcomed Snoop Dogg in their team through a tweet:

Though the restaurant isn’t an official Bored Ape restaurant created by Yuga Labs, Snoop Dogg holds the rights to use the NFT image that he owns for the restaurant.

The approach behind Bored & Hungry is similar to the one behind the open dessert shop. As users found out when they went to the restaurant in April, the logo and the decor are based on the non-fictional characters “Bored Ape” and “Mutant Ape Yacht.

Snoop Dogg isn’t new in the NFT world and is the proud owner of Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs. Moreover, he has associated with projects such as The Sandbox on Ethereum and Clay Nation on Cardano. Adding on to more, he also released NFTs based on the classic Nyan Cat meme.

According to him, he is the same person who uses the Crypto Twitter moniker Cozomo de’ Medici. Cozomo de’ Medici is an NFT collector with a valuable millions-dollar collection that includes CryptoPunks, Art Blocks, and XCOPY pieces.

Champ Medici is the Twitter handle of Cordell Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s son. Like his father, he too is a part of the restaurant idea.

In a release, Cordell said:

Food Fighters Universe is bridging food and Web3 and blazing a trail with real-life utility for NFTs. It’s the future of the restaurant industry, and my dad and I are thrilled to join the team and utilize their expertise to bring Dr. Bombay to life.
