  • Mythical Games is launching 22 NFTs of players from the competing football teams at the Super Bowl.
  • The 1,000-unit collection will sell in a pack of three and is priced at $49.
  • 500 packs are reserved for early access to Rarity League owners.

Looks like Mythical Games is prepared to gain benefit from the rivalry between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. The Web3 gaming studio is launching new NFT player packs in its NFL Rivals game prior to Super Bowl LVII even though this year’s event lacks cryptocurrency advertising.

From the two teams competing in the event on Sunday, there would be 22 NFL players in the collection.  From Patrick Mahomes to Jalen Hurts, gamers will be allowed to take their favorite player cards in the esports game when it will launch formally on mobile later in 2023.

Executive producer of NFL Rivals Billy Schautz shared that Web3 technologies offer an exclusive experience that enables football fans to engage with their favorite players.

Schautz added that before the biggest day, the team at Rivals is thrilled to let fans have the opportunity of getting their hands on the player cards, creating their team rosters and utilizing them in the form of their players in the game.

If we talk about the previous year’s event, it won’t be wrong to call it “Crypto Bowl” since most of the cryptocurrency ads were aired. However, this year, there won’t be any cryptocurrency commercial.

One of the major reasons behind this is that the crypto market was hit quite hard by layoffs, wintry market conditions and bankruptcies. Not to forget how things damaged further with the collapse of the FTX exchange, which was a major cryptocurrency advertiser last time.

Despite this, Mythical strives to earn all the buzz regarding its game through the player cards. On Thursday, February 9, 2023, the presale will open for owners of the Rarity League collection at 2pm ET/11am PT. A public sale has been scheduled for Friday, February 10, 2023.
