Bharti Airtel has launched India’s first multiplex, the Xstream Multiplex, on the Partynite metaverse platform.
In a statement, Airtel said:
The Xstream multiplex is an extension of Airtel’s Xstream Premium offering, which recently achieved a 2-million subscriber milestone within 100 days of its launch.
Xstream multiplex will be a 20-screen platform with access to content portfolios from popular OTT partners available on the app. The multiplex will allow sampling of leading original shows and movies with content pieces like the first episode of an OTT original or the starting minutes of a movie in regional languages other than Hindi and English. Via subscription of the plan, which starts from Rs. 149 per month, viewers can get full access.

The multiplex will provide an immersive content experience with various engagement layers, enabling users to interact on the metaverse platform.
Shashwat Sharma, Director – Of marketing at Airtel, said:
Airtel’s Xstream multiplex provides a larger-than-life experience, which brings together Web 3.0 apps and immersive storytelling, and an assortment of content from our partners.
He further added:
Through the metaverse, we are looking to tap into a larger audience, allowing content enthusiasts to sample Airtel’s Xstream Premium offering and, thus, aiding in driving higher adoption.
