Google Cloud has joined forces with blockchain infrastructure firm MultiversX in a strategic move to strengthen its presence in the Web3 space. This collaboration brings Google Cloud’s BigQuery data warehouse into integration with MultiversX, opening up new possibilities for Web3 projects and users to harness the power of data analytics and artificial intelligence tools within the Google Cloud ecosystem

MultiversX anticipates that this partnership will facilitate the seamless execution of large-scale, data-centric blockchain projects, providing developers with easy access to vital data on addresses, transaction volumes, smart contract interactions, and enhanced on-chain analytics.

Daniel Rood, Head of Web3 EMEA at Google Cloud, emphasized the potential of this partnership, stating, “There are exciting opportunities to enable Web3 developers to build and scale faster, and as we explore new verticals within the space, our partnership with MultiversX will allow us to expand our strategy and reach further, solidifying our position as one of the main innovation drivers in the blockchain world.”

MultiversX, formerly Elrond, has a track record of forging partnerships with prominent brands to promote Web3 use cases in the traditional world. ICI D|Services, the first European institutional marketplace for digital assets, and Audi’s in-car virtual reality platform, Holoride, chose MultiversX as their platform of choice.

In addition to the partnership news, MultiversX has unveiled a range of scalable features for its decentralized digital asset wallet and “SuperApp,” xPortal. These updates simplify money management, allowing users to handle fiat and cryptocurrency seamlessly. By early 2024, xPortal users will have access to peer-to-peer fiat payments and European IBANs, SEPA transfers, and SWIFT payments.

Furthermore, MultiversX is introducing the xWorlds Developer Kit, offering unique tools for creators to build the next generation of augmented reality experiences by leveraging xPortal as a wallet and distribution hub. The kit includes highly realistic artificial intelligence-powered 3D avatars.

This partnership and the enhancements to xPortal underscore MultiversX’s commitment to advancing the Web3 ecosystem and its ambition to provide cutting-edge solutions for developers and users alike. With Google Cloud’s support, MultiversX is poised to make significant strides in the blockchain world, further cementing its role as an innovation leader.
