The Pakistani- American actor and comedian Kumail Nanjiani and award-winning filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy in partnership with NFT company Superfandom and Bitcoin solution company Hiro are launching the charity Bitcoin to aid Pakistan flood victims.

This charity auction is offering five different varieties or types of SBTs at different price points.

Soul Bound Tokens (SBTs) are different from NFTs.

Superfandom is a Web 3.0 company that helps creators and artists of all genres build their presence in the metaverse through virtual goods, virtual avatars, NFTs and SBTs.

The SBTs are also more social identity tokens and “stick” to the owners’ wallets.

They cannot be transferred or stolen to or from other wallets.

These tokens will aid the web3.0 network to utilize non-transferrable tokens in the form of reputation indicators instead of depending on money-based frameworks for the same.

As SBTs are publicly confirmable, they safeguard DAOs from bad actors

The charity auction will be open for 48 hours with its five different types of SBTs and the proceeds will go to the Alkhidmat Foundation. The foundation is one of Pakistan’s most impactful humanitarian organizations helping flood victims.

SBTs have critical use cases in building reputation, communities with long-term ties, and identity management. The famous actor along with the filmmaker will launch the tokens on Superfandom’s website.

The creators on the platform also include the likes of Riya Sen, Voice Over Man, Richard Kahn, Ali Gul Pir, and more.
