  • Starting January 25, users enter a lottery and try their luck to win a pair of NFT shoes.

LG Electronics will launch NFT-based digital shoes as well as the company’s latest shoe care devices, Styler ShoeCare and Styler ShoeCase, at the Consumer Electronics Show in 2023.

The CES is held in Las Vegas and is the largest IT show in the world. The event will be held from January 5 to January 8 of the coming year.

The Monster Shoe has been made through NFT technology and is a virtual shoe. By using LG ThingQ, the company’s IoT mobile app, customers can collect 5,500 types of rarely designed digital shoes. Also, they can store and trade their NFT shoes via the cryptocurrency wallet.

The shoes were co-developed with students of the Game and VR Design Department at Induk University. Shoe care devices, the Styler ShoeCare and Styler ShoeCase, were launched at the IFA 2022 tech show that was organized in September in Germany.

The Styler ShoeCare utilizes hygiene-improving TrueSteam technology to control both the moisture and smell in shoes. It is a physical display box that comes with a turntable that rotates 360 degrees. It includes clear panels along with a design that allows stacking four cases on top of each other. On the other hand, the Styler ShoeCase maintains optimal temperature and humidity.

Each product is made out of recycled plastic owing to the company’s efforts to manage climate change. Both of these devices will be available for sale in the first half of 2023 in the Korean market.

Head of LG’s Living Appliance division, Baek Seung-tae, said that they aim to provide a unique customer experience with both the products besides the special shoes. He added that the Styler ShoeCare and Styler ShoeCase are going to be the next-generation standard shoe management solutions.
